Abstract:
Teaching online is prevalent in many disciplines today yet lab-based courses present special challenges. Effective instruction of lab procedures, handling assignment submissions, and field work are a few such challenges presented to the online instructor working at a distance. This paper discusses how recent advances in technology such as blogging, podcasting, lecture capture, and web conferencing can be leveraged to deliver hybrid and totally online physical geography lab courses.
